Decades ago, the Calderone family had a dream: to open the first pizzeria in York County. Short on dough but rich with ambition, the family tossed together everything they had to grab a slice of the American dream.
Their grand idea paid off (after all, who doesn’t love pizza?) and over the years their tiny family-startup slowly became a neighborhood institution.
Enter the two Tonies. Tony “the boy” and Toni “the girl” grew up slinging pies inside the Calderone’s kitchen. One day, they had a dream of their own: to open the best Italian restaurant in Central, PA. Combining their capital and 30 years of experience, Tutoni’s was born.
Located in York’s hip downtown district, Tony and Toni are already outliving their dream. Tutoni’s isn’t just the tastiest Italian food in Central PA, it easily rivals the best kitchens on the East Coast!
While their recipes span the 20 regions of Italy, their ingredients are al locally-sourced and change with the seasons. This means you can visit Tutoni’s throughout the year and never have the same experience twice!
From their charcuterie and antipasto boards made with local meats and cheeses to their hydroponic-grown salad greens, fresh and authentic are their two guiding principles.
Peak inside their kitchen to find cooks rolling and cutting fresh pasta daily. Those craving Northern Italian fare will also love their hearty braised beef cheek or duck breast served with beet and chianti crema.
What’s a holiday celebration without a cocktail or glass of vino? Tutoni’s bar stirs up Italian classics from a prosecco spritz to amaretto sours.
Need a cozy place to escape afterwards? Head down a back set of stairs to visit the King George Speakeasy. Intimate and chic, this secret hideaway provides weekend entertainment to pair with your night cap.
Now that we twirled a fork around our favorite ristorante in York, we encourage you to make a reservation today.
